PSY Study Program Organizes Visit to Sentivo Nursing Home

Students from the Psychology of Adulthood and Aging (PSY414) course, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Lejla Mustoo Başer, recently visited Sentivo Nursing Home as part of their practical learning experience.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to spend time with the home’s beneficiaries, participate in their daily activities, and gain valuable firsthand insight into working with the elderly population. They also learned from experienced professionals about daily care practices, interventions, and approaches used to support the well-being of elderly residents.

In addition, students discussed the challenges encountered in practice and received practical guidance on providing compassionate and effective psychological support to this population.

The visit provided students with an enriching opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world practice, while fostering a deeper understanding of the psychological, social, and emotional aspects of aging.

We sincerely thank the professional team at Sentivo Nursing Home for their warm hospitality, willingness to share their expertise, and for providing our students with such a meaningful and educational experience.
